Tell us how you use FreeCAD and what usually gets in your way. We are building a balanced test group—from first-time makers to experienced users who know where CAD tools break down.
The vision
FreeCAD should not feel like a test you have to pass.
You should be able to describe the thing in your head, understand the proposed steps, and end with a real editable model—not a mystery file you cannot change.
TutorShows you where to click and explains why.
MentorWorks beside you, one approved step at a time.
WizardImagine anything.
How it works
From sentence to verified model
This is a schematic of the intended workflow. It is not presented as a recording of a completed feature.
- 1Describe“Make a 40 mm bracket with two mounting holes.”
- 2ReviewCADWiz shows the dimensions and proposed operations.
- 3ApproveYou decide before anything changes.
- 4Build + verifyFreeCAD creates the editable model and checks the result.
What matters
Useful first. Honest always.
- Your model remains yours. CADWiz works with FreeCAD and preserves editable CAD structure whenever practical.
- You see the plan. Meaningful changes are reviewed before execution.
- Success needs evidence. A command running is not the same as a valid model.
- It admits its limits. Unsupported or uncertain work is identified instead of disguised.
